About Jeff Drake

• I have studied the factors crucial to successful child development for 30 years and have graduate degrees in both education and psychology. I have taught preschool, elementary and high school. As a clinical "Prevention Specialist" in the area of teenage substance abuse I created and directed programs within schools for "At Risk" teenagers. I also served as Director of Youth Services for the Town of Westwood, Massachusetts. And, perhaps most important, I have the benefit of 32 years of parenting and observing three children of my own.
  
  Since 1986 I have been in private practice as a psychotherapist in Lexington, Massachusetts, and now also in Peterborough, New Hampshire where I specialize in coaching parents on child and family issues.
  
  For the last twelve years I have developed and taught my Successful Parenting Programs to hundreds of parents and professionals. I have worked with many community groups that are seeking to address the issues facing children and adolescents who are at risk of not developing the social and emotional skills they will need to be successful adults.
